I adopted Dakota six years ago in Mecklenburg co., and she appears to be the same breed as Malorie. So i wanted to let everyone know that this mix of breeds is a great mix. My Dakota has a great disposition and is well behaved and friendly. She is also very intelligent and has learned many tricks quickly. This breed does require a good long walk as they have a good amount of energy. I could not be happier with the dog and the breed. So i think if you love a medium size dog that likes to play and cuddle on the couch, take it from me, Malorie might just be the one for you. This is an awesome mix breed for kids, you might ask specifically about Malorie and kids, but my Dakota(same breed) is awsome with kids, loves to play but not too rough. So if you are in the market for a dog, dont pass Malorie by because she looks older or because of her med. size.. To be honest this size dog is perfect, big enough to keep potentail danger away and small enough to curl up on the couch with you!! Please someone make Malorie happy! If i didnt have a dog and two cats, i would so adopt her! I love this mix of breeds, great personalities, and so so loving!  

I am wondering if anyone else out there heard the statement today about how people just go to rehab to make others feel like they are changing? The statement was made about tiger woods, but it affected me and others like me. WE have addiction problems and when someone goes for treatment they are admitting a problem and or defect in them. I was appalled by your initial reporting of the earthquake in Haiti during your 10:00 pm newscast on January 2010. You showed no real time video and then reported that there was “looting and rioting” in the streets. Now after we have seen the incredible amount of damage and death caused by the quake (a 7.5 with 35 aftershocks), I wonder when they had time for “looting and rioting” while dodging the falling concrete!

 

 

 

This came right after two lead in stories showing the Hispanic community in a bad light. The first being the MSG gang members which is negative and somewhat understandable. But you then followed it up with a church of mostly Hispanic people wanting immigration reform which you did not take the time to explain why they wanted it. You just showed them as a “group” with no tangible reason for assembling.  Then the totally, completely insensitive Haiti story came after this. At that time he offered me 2 free months of service but I opted to simply cancel the account instead. At that time he told me that the account was canceled and that I would no longer be charged. I logged on to my account a couple of days later to make sure that my account was, in fact, canceled and found that it had been. At some point, someone in your company illegally opened again without my permission or even informing me of this activity.

Pre Paid Legal Faces Ponzi Scheme Accusations And SEC Investigation

 

 

Pre Paid legal, was considered one of America’s best companies to invest in recently, but that shining corporate American image is quickly being tarnished by accusations of conducting deceptive Ponzi Scheme business practices that compare to the Bernard Madoff Ponzi Scheme,

 

and an SEC investigation into the deceptive business practices of Pre Paid Legal.

 

 

Pre-Paid Legal Services Inc. has received a subpoena from the Securities and Exchange Commission to produce a variety of documentation, the company announced Tuesday.
"The subpoena was surprising to all of us," said Randy Harp, chief operating officer.

 

The subpoena from the SEC's Division of Enforcement requires the Ada-based public company to produce a variety of documents, including those pertaining to a stock repurchase program that Pre-Paid has had since April 1999.

 

Other documents requested include those pertaining to the company's Affirmative Defense Response System program and other marketing practices; membership statistical information; segment reporting; a contingency disclosure to the Federal Trade Commission; and other operational practices.

 

 

What does these mean for Pre Paid legal?

 

 

It means that Pre-Paid Legal would have to tell prospects that fewer than a quarter of its sales representatives sold more than one insurance plan in 2005, something it disclosed to investors in a filing with the S.E.C. While Pre-Paid’s Web site tells prospects that if they “market just five memberships per week, you’ll receive $500 per week!” very few representatives have consistently sold five memberships a week.

 

Pre Paid legal also faces stiff opposition to its deceptive business practices from The Fraud Discovery Institute Inc. (FDI).

FDI has unveiled some of the results of a six-month undercover investigation of Pre Paid Legal Inc. (PPL) by launching a new Web site, http://www.prepaidillegal.com.

The site includes a comprehensive 25-page report from nationally recognized multi-level marketing (MLM) expert Robert Fitzpatrick outlining for the first time the startling fact that Pre Paid Legal Inc. is not a product-based, multi level marketing company like Usana Health Sciences Inc. or Herbalife - which are both in a constant state of collapse, but rather it is a service-based multi-level marketing company actually collapsing.

The complaints are so negative, that NC Consumer News has decided to expose the negative business practices of Service Magic and issue a consumer alert on this company.

 

Service Magic is an online home improvement and repair contracting company that operates in all 50 states online, and offer some very impressive Internet advertising to entice consumers, but this is just a veil of deception, as many customers continue to find out first hand, after doing business with Service Magic.

 

Customers continue to complain that neither Service Magic, nor the contractors they use are professional, and many of these customer complaints are validated by the unprofessional,

Sub-standard, poor quality work that they received from many Service Magic contractors.

 

In one customer’s word, “This Company does not thoroughly screen those they recommend for service of any type in your home.

 

If you happen to have good luck with them it was a coincidence and not the rule, way too many complaints to list here however most recently they send a Company here for Painting and tile work that were comprised of illegal aliens. I questioned them about it and they avoided the subject. I submitted a complaint to service magic that refused to publish my findings condoning laborers who work for registered Service Magic Contractors to use unsponsored aliens.”

This is a very sore subject for me as I know some people who have had their trust "violated" by those who have been let in their home to do work.
